APOLLO (KDKA) — Residents of a personal care home in Armstrong County have been forced out after the state shut down the facility.
Families of the 17 residents at Wofford’s Cherry Lane Manor in Apollo were called Thursday evening and told that their family members had to be out by 10 p.m.
Officials with the Pennsylvania Welfare Department were making arrangements to relocate the residents.
The state closed the home due to faulty plumbing and wiring.
This is the second local personal care home the state has closed in the past month.
